How can Egypt be so cheap in the eyes of her sons and daughters ; how can we accept to be dictated and moved by outsiders; who are the muslim brothers really working for??  Have our values shifted so much that we can so influenced  and guided by people like Hassan Nasrallah, and the likes of him.

Our resolution for 2009 should be to build and learn about our country.  Our country is a treasure that we must cherish and keep safe from outsiders.  We have to keep our unique identity as Egyptians, the Arab Nationalistic plan proved its failure and the best evidence is that Egypt has always been their scapegoat for all their failures.  What for? we already have enough to worry about internally to give a damn about their various kinds of crisis.

It seems that the Arabs forgot the Egypt created the idea of Arab Nationalism and gave the Arab Identity the weight it has.  What are  the Arabs expecting Egypt to do for the Gaza saga, are we to risk again and for the 100th time our country and lives of our youth for people who are not even convinced of peace; should we put our lives online for the Palestinian cause for another 50 years; why?  For Who?? For Fateh or for Hamas???

Do we wish to have refugee camps in Sinai like  Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.  Do we wish to settle the Palestinians  in our country and get them act like they did during the Iraqi Invasion on Kuwait in 1991.  Haven’t we learned our lessons from Black September in 1970.  Haven’t we learned from the turbalences in Lebanon and elsewhere.  Do we have to open our doors and then live to regret it when it is too late.

I am proud of my identity as Egyptian and don’t care if any other country approve of me or not.  Let us put our hands together, and love our country as a resolution in 2009.
