Every time, I try to choose a different topic to write about, my heart and mind move to write about Gaza and what is happening there. The news are not encouraging and the general feel is sad and uncomfortable. All this is affecting the whole region and the world in its humanity at heart. When will the attacks stop, after all the civilians have died.

Whether we are for or against Hamas, for or against Fatteh, everyone is sympathetic with what is happening to the population in Gaza specially women and children.  We, Egyptians, really want this unfair war to end. We have been trying our best to negotiate a cease fire between the Palestinians and Israel, open the crossing point at Rafah, send humanitarian help and pass humanitarian help coming from other countries, send our doctors to help to save lives ( although we need loads of permissions and we are waiting to let them pass at secure and safe time).

No one can deny that Gaza is our Eastern borders and that part of our security depends on their resistance, but how long are we all willing to live under this stress unable to function in totality on our internal chores, when we are being stressed with the external factors of Gaza and Israel.  When will all this commotion stop, I expect right before the Israeli elections in February 09.   Are the Israelis trying to prove a point to their people before the elections, they seem to forget that Hamas was elected democratically as their government is.  If Palestinians did not know how to maintain their unity for certain internal reasons or conflict of interest, let us not make the whole region pay for it.
