Au-revoir Montreal….
By admin • Dec 20th, 2008 • Category: Health, tourismIn spite of the cold weather of Montreal which reached many times more then -30, I left Montreal with a touch of sadness, but a warm heart. Maybe because I left my son behind knowing that he has his life and he is happy there, but life has to go on. Not everything we wish for can be realized or it would have been too easy. We have to let go of our children so that they can live their own lives and destinies.
Getting on the plane was uneventful until I arrived to Amsterdam where I had to go a hotel for a few hours to sleep, rest and shower.
Going back to the airport, I stayed in the VIP lounge for another two hours. That made for the whole trip and my evening. I kept seeing small things that ran between the aisles and under the sofas. I thought I was wrong or did not see properly. I tried to concentrate until I found that what I saw where in fact small mice running around freely. I was so shocked, I kept silent for an hour and decided to change seats. Still the mice where running around at ease.
Leaving the lounge, I went to talk to the attendant in the lounge reception and told her that I have seen mice all around the place thinking that she will be shocked; on the contrary, she simply said:”Oh, yes we know, it is the problem of the airport. I wish I could bring my cat”.
She said it in such a relaxed manner that I simply turned around went to my gate stunned. God save Egypt, if we had such a problem at our airport, it would have been all over the papers and in the news about the ignorance and retardness of the Egyptians. We really are so impressed by the European and American ways, but at least in Egypt we have minimum decency in handling our visitors and tourists.
I Love Egypt and Egypt prevails.

You are absolutely right, if it were to happen in Egypt or any other Arabic country it would have been on national news in a split second! After all, we are the retarded third world countries..and it is very important for many to keep it this way..shame.
You know what Noha???? Like everything else in Egypt and that is what makes all the difference “in Egypt everything is done secretly even the mice, they hide. But abroad everything is done out on the open “even mice know that”. Think about it…………
