Corruption… Commotion… Chaos… The Triple C

Triple C is becoming the motto of the Egyptian people, they have become more corrupted causing commotion and chaos.  I was confirmed about my feelings when I read an article by Karam Gabr, the chairman of Rosa Al Yusef magazine.  It was titled “Where is the Old time Egyptian”  http://www.rosaonline.net/alphadb/article.asp?view=4784.

Lately, it has been on my mind, what are the reasons for the major change in the Egyptian people character.  People no more have respect for anyone, anything and approach all situations with violence.  Violence does not have to be physical, it is verbal, and mental sometimes or the three forms together.

The more aggressive you are, the better chance you will get your way.  Is it EDUCATION, whether at home or at school, or are people realizing that the only way to get their rights is by their own hands. There is a definite shift regarding the Egyptian ethics and values. Egyptians used to be kind, approachable and the most important quality was contentment. The rule now is corruption and who differs is the exception.

People are not content with their lives anymore and I am not sure they know what they are looking for. Is it a role model at school, at home and in the street??  The teacher allows himself / herself to hit the kids at school and cause death?? I am not even sure that it is the teacher’s fault anymore.  Maybe the student drove him nuts with disrespect.  I am not defending the teacher, nor the child.  I have children of my own and know that kids when young can drive their parents and teachers nuts.

At the airport, the other night, people have to respect for queue. They push people around to take their turns and specially tourists not bearing in mind that their behaviour may drive tourists away, and there goes another of our national source of income.  When you talk to them, they always have a reason. No apology ever, as if it is their right.

Egyptian people wake up before it is too late, the recession is taking its toll on us. Let us not help it.

I love Egypt and Egypt Prevails.
