Modern Education in Egypt…. A must not a choice

By admin • Jan 12th, 2009 • Category: education, egypt, egyptian, minister

I could not agree more with Dr. Ismail Serag El Din, the Chairman of Alexandria Library, about the level of education in Egypt  (http://www.almasry-alyoum.com/article2.aspx?ArticleID=192239&IssueID=1267 ),  and with Mr. Tarek Heggy the Egyptian Thinker in his article (http://www.ahewar.org/debat/show.art.asp?t=0&userID=2295&aid=159239)   about  Modern Education  or Drowning.

It is  only since I have started acting as a Human Resources Director for taya it (http://www.tayait.com ) that I realized how the level of education in Egypt is deteriorating. I have had in the past 3 years more than 400 interviews and I must say that I have been disappointed in more than 350 of them.

Education has been suffering for decades and the  system is just deteriorating, the number of students is increasing at a crazy pace, the teachers level is unacceptable and their numbers are not enough.  There is no clear vision on how to move forward to improve the education sector as a whole.  There is no cut throat strategy to move forward.   This is the furture of our nation that we are talking about.  It is not a private sector company, a factory, or an individual.

We need sincere patriotic people who have the country’s interest at heart to structure the heart of the country represented in its youth.  There education can make or break us.  I call on sincere people like Ismail Serag El Din, Tarek Heggy, Farouk El Baz to move forward and help put Egypt on the right track to save their youth from an unfortunate future.  We need to put all hands and minds together to make this work, it is a must not a choice.

We are a great nation and need great people to move us forward.  Let us love Egypt, and Egypt prevails
